Privacy Policy

Pictonico.org is an independent, unofficial fan guide. We collect a small amount of data to run the site and improve content. This page explains what, why, and how to opt out.

Who runs this site

Pictonico.org is operated independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo Co., Ltd. or Intelligent Systems. All Pictonico! trademarks, screenshots, and trailer content belong to their respective owners.

What we collect

The site uses three third-party services that collect limited data:

  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-CQHZB0LZVF) — page views, referrer, browser type, anonymized country. Uses cookies. Data is processed by Google under their privacy policy.
  • Plausible-compatible analytics (loaded via sudofind.com) — page views and outbound link clicks. Cookieless. No personal data is stored.
  • Cloudflare — hosting and CDN for pictonico.org. Cloudflare logs IP addresses for security and abuse prevention per their privacy policy. The contact email address is also obfuscated by Cloudflare to reduce spam scraping.
  • YouTube embeds — when you play a trailer, YouTube/Google may set cookies per their privacy policy.

We do not collect names, accounts, payment information, or any data that personally identifies you. We do not sell or share data with third parties beyond the services listed above.

Cookies and opt-out

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, blocking third-party cookies, or using your browser's "do not track" setting. The Plausible-compatible tracker uses no cookies and respects "do not track" automatically.

If you email [email protected], we keep your message only as long as needed to reply. We do not add you to mailing lists.

Data retention and your rights

Analytics data is retained per Google's default GA4 retention (currently 14 months) and is anonymized at collection. Under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA you can request access to or deletion of any data tied to you. Email [email protected] with the request and we will respond within 30 days.
